Allan and Jeanne Mills
Co-Owner's of Ocean Elements Salt Spa
Executive Director's of Pathways Research Center in Ocean Pines, Maryland
Allan and Jeanne Mills are the co-owners of Ocean Elements Salt Spa and Float Center in Ocean Pines, Maryland. They both floated for the first time last year and realized that it was such a unique experience that they wanted to open a business to enable people to feel the same healing of body and mind.
Ocean Elements is a Himalayan salt spa that provides a relaxing, distraction-free environment to indulge in the healing properties of salt therapy. The business works with individuals who suffer from chronic pain (back, neck, arthritis), fibromyalgia, stress, tension and PTSD. Ocean Elements assists clients in achieving better sleep, improved sports performance, younger looking skin, pain relief and detoxification. We use Epson Salts, which is kinder to the skin and doesn’t dry it out like conventional salt. Additionally, the absorption of magnesium and Sulphur (sulphate) through the skin helps to improve the body’s nutrient balance.
Flotation therapy is a luxurious escape from the constant stress of life’s daily pressures and a natural way to heal the body and mind. Float therapy uses a highly concentrated salt water solution to replicate weightlessness, thereby enabling complete muscle relaxation. Halotherapy provides symptomatic relief for chronic respiratory conditions. Halotherapy uses fine granules of salt that are passively inhaled into the lungs to reduce inflammation and absorb toxins.
